The famous and sacred temple is also known as Hidimbi Devi Temple in the beautiful hill station in the State of Himāchal Pradesh in north India. It is an antique cave place of worship devoted to Hidimbi Devi – sister of Hidimba, a shape in the Indian epic Mahabharata. The temple is delimited by a cedar forest at the foot of the Himalayas. The asylum is constructed over a huge rock jutting out of the ground which was worshipped as a picture of the deity. Built in 1553, it is an ideal place that always draws the attention of tourists and persuades you to visit the place again and again.

History

The Hidimba Devi temple is build around a cave where Hidimba performed consideration. Hidimba was hypothetical to have lived there with her brother Hidimb, and not much is recognized about their parents. Born into a Rakshas family, Hidimba vowed to get married one who would defeat her brother Hidimb, who was imaginary to be very brave and courageous. For the duration of the Pandava's exile, when they visited Manali; Bhima, one of the five Pandavas, killed Hidimb. After that, Hidimba married Bhima and gave birth to their son Ghatotkacha.
