Kaza Travel Guide

Kaza is one of the most beautiful and wonderful tourist places in Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 3600 meter above sea level on the left bank of River Spiti – presently the headquarters of Spiti Sub Division. Located at the distance of around 250 km from Kullu, Kaza is a place counted as the adobe where gods live. Shimla is at the distance of 450 km from Kaza. This region is known as Cold Desert and does not take delivery of rainfall. In winter the temperature can drop below freezing point, when profound woolens are required. In summers the weather remains pleasurable when light woolens are advised.

Not forget to mention the Buddhist Monasteries – counted many as only next to Tholing Gompa. The amazing place is also counted as the Ajanta of the Himalayas. Not forget to mention, Tabo – the largest monastic complex of Spiti that has since been affirmed a secluded tombstone under the aegis of Archaeological Survey of India. Some other destinations include Key Gompa at the distance of 7 km from Kaza. Being the largest monastery in Spiti Valley – established in the 11 century, it always draw the attention of Buddhist followers.

Kibber is another wonderful destination at the distance of 18 km – counted as the highest village in the world – connected to motorable road in the highest habituated village in the world with its own polling station for the duration of elections. Dhankar, Pin Valley, Kunzam Pass, etc are also wonderful places to explore near Kaza.
