Rewalsar

Situated in Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh, Rewalsar is a beautiful town known for lakes and some religious significance of Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhism. The beautiful town is known locally at Trishangam. The beautiful and sacred place is known for adhering three major Dharma religions that include Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism.

According to Hindu mythology, seven sacred lakes from the time of Mahabharata are here; while the place is also belongs to the legends of Lord Shiva and Lomas Rishi. According to Sikh mythology, the tenth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Govind Singh visited the place and stayed here for some days. King of that empire built a Gurudwara in 1930 to commemorate the Guru’s visit. It is sacred to Namdhari Sikhs.

Buddhism is the main religion here making it an ideal destination of worship. Padmasambhava, recognized as second Buddha. You will see the statue of Padmasambhava in mist that is 123 ft tall.

Rewlsar lake, a small zoo, and Seven Lakes are the main attraction here to keep tourists enticed in the beauty of this beautiful town of Himachal Pradesh.

How to Reach Rewalsar?

By Air: Bhuntar Airport at the distance of around 63 km is the main airport here from where you can take a taxi or bus to reach easily.

By Train: Kiratpur is the main railway station at the distance of 125 km from Mandi. You can take taxi or bus from the nearest railway station to cover the remaining destination.

By Road: Mandi is the nearest main town having bus stand connected well to rest of Himachal Pradesh. You can also reach by your own car.
